Register Early for Loucon's Christmas Camp, Youth Culture Workshop, and Marriage Enrichment Retreat!

Marriage Enrichment Retreat I & II...February 2006

Loucon will be hosting its Third annual Marriage Enrichment Retreat in February of 2006! There are two weekends to choose from. This retreat is designed for you and your spouse to come and grow closer together as you draw nearer to God. There will be Bible study, time alone w/one another, a Valentine’s banquet, and lots of fun activities for everyone. Come and join other couples for this weekend retreat to share in this joyful experience with your spouse and the bridegroom, Jesus Christ. Marriage Enrichment I will be February 10-12th and Marriage Enrichment II will be February 17-19th. It is definitely a wonderful experience. Online registration will be available in January of 2006. Youth Culture Workshop...January 21, 2006

Youth leaders, children's workers, parents, and anyone else interested in learning more about our present youth culture you need to attend this workshop! It will be held at Loucon Saturday, January 21, 2006 in Turner Lodge. This is a phenomenal opportunity to hear one of the most knowledgeable people in the field. Walt Mueller and the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding (CPYU) have been studying youth culture for over 15 years. Mueller and his staff spend much of their time watching MTV, reading Rolling Stone, listening to the newest music releases, watching movies, and paying attention to anything and everything that today's youth are immersed in as well as reading and reviewing books to help parents and youth in their walk with Christ. After all the research, their reviews and thoughts are posted on their website www.cpyu.org in all sorts of usable formats. Loucon believes that the knowledge they have is invaluable, and can help all of us connect with the children and youth we serve and love. That is why Loucon has chosen to sponsor this special event. The cost is $15 per person if registered by January 11th and $20 afterwards. Your lunch and some snacks will be provided. Lodging is available at a reduced rate for anyone interested. Christmas Camp...December 16-18, 2005

This year our Sr. High Assembly camp will have a reunion of sorts in December. It will be a time to see old friends, fellowship with one another, and to continue to work on our relationship with God. Loucon has not had a Christmas camp since 1993. At that time the camp hosted a Junior High camp for three days. It was a great weekend that included finding a tree, decorating, normal camp activities, Worship, and a celebration of the birth of our Savior! It was always a great experience. This camp will be a mixture of our old camp and a fantastic reunion for our Sr. High Assembly campers! And if you have never been to Sr. High Assembly don't let that stop you from coming...It will be fun for everyone. Oh, just in case you are interested in our new Christmas Camp it will be held Friday, December 16 starting at 6:00 pm until Sunday at 10:00 am.
