Campers spend the week learning about themselves, others, and God. Youth discover how Christian faith guides them through life. They participate in swimming, hiking, low elements, canoeing; zip lining, climbing, rappelling, hayrides, campfires, crafts, Bible study, and worships.

The summer after my freshman year of college, I started working at Loucon. It was an amazing experience, serving selflessly, ministering to kids, and making some life long friends. The worked as a summer staff member for 2 summers (2004 & 2005). Since then, I have been a counselor for several different camps, and this summer will be my sixth year deaning a Jr. High Camp.

In college I studied missions and minored in English as a Second Language and Bible & Theology at Asbury College. I graduated in 2007. In January 2008, I was hired by my home church, Ogden Memorial UMC, as their Youth and Ministries director. I have been there for 4 years as their youth and children director.

Loucon is one place I have seen God move consistently. Spending a Sunday through Friday can been an exhausting week, but it is never in vain. We have a lot of fun together, do some crazy stuff out of our normal life (climbing, rappeling, ziplining), but even more than that we see God. I have deaned four Jr. High Camps, and God has moved more through 6 days at camp than a whole year worth of ministry. Loucon has been a place where students who come to a fuller understanding of God and His love for us. Then open their lives up to be changed. It is a place where students and adults grow close, fast and in a real way. Sharing their lives with each other, opens us up for God to show up. I'm so excited for this summers Jr. High 2!
