During our staff orientation a tornado came through our area knocking down several trees.  It left no facility damage except for the low elements wall and some damage to Green Cathedral.  It was followed by another large storm a week or so later.  The entire summer has been hit and misses with weather this year; however it has not deterred the staff, deans, and counselors one bit from sharing Jesus.  On July 13th a very severe thunderstorm with hurricane type winds came through camp again.  This one caused some structural damage to Munday, Village Cabin #3, Robb lodge, and a few other facilities at camp.  It also knocked down several more trees.  Our staff quickly reacted and kept all of the campers from harms way in our basement facilities while leading worship and games.  Even in the midst of the storms God was being lifted up!  In the same way when storms come into our lives, we should be lifting up Christ!  We are thankful that God chose to work in the midst of the storm as He often does in the storms of our lives.  And we are very thankful for all those who have volunteered to help clean up and make the continuation of camp a reality!
