A Summer Staff Testimony

Working at Camp Loucon this past summer was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life.  Going into it, I was a little nervous because I was unfamiliar with the camp and most everybody there.  However, I began learning some of what to expect during interview weekend and knew this was a place I wanted to work at and people I would love to work with.  Everyone was so loving and supportive and was always there if I needed anything.  Not only were they around for me during the summer time, but we keep in touch still even though we are living in different places.  I will never forget this summer!

The first week on Vesper Hill after doing the Passion play was the first time I had ever led someone to the Lord by myself.  It was such an awesome experience and will be something that I will never forget.  The Passion play itself was so amazing and God did awesome things each time we performed it.  Another thing camp taught me was how to facilitate different activities which allowed me to see the fun and joy kids had throughout their week at camp.  One of my favorite parts of the whole summer was knowing that the campers we encountered during those weeks were shown love and had a blast while learning about God and their lives.

Working at Camp Loucon this summer also helped me develop skills better.  My patience, leadership, public speaking, and other skills all improved throughout the  summer. God did some amazing things at camp this past summer and will continue to do wonderful things through Loucon’s ministry in times to come.
